2010-09-03 Rams entertain Chargers at Moir Park
The Rocky Mountain Rams open the bantam football season Sunday afternoon at Moir Park in Cranbrook. The Rams had 18 players in camp and entertain the Salmon Arm Chargers at noon. Rams Coach, Tim Coyle says the offensive side of the ball should be the team's strength. "Earlier this week we ran our offence against the high school team, with no contact, but it was effective" Coyle adds. Most of the Rams will be playing on both sides of the ball and Coyle says "when we get some of the other players up to speed they will begin playing a bigger role on the team." The Salmon Arm Chargers have a very good football program from Atom to Pee-Wee and Coyle expects the Chargers to be a young team with a lot of skill. Kickoff at Moir Park is noon on Sunday. | ||
